CYO
CYO is open to all children of the Parish. Currently we offer
athletic programs in basketball, baseball, soccer, flag football, track and
volleyball. Association Board meets on the first Wednesday of the
Month from 9:00 - 10:30pm in the gym. President, Matt Bard

Senior members
(over the age 55) of
our parish enjoy a variety of interesting programs, trips and speakers.
Meetings are the second Wednesday of

Cub
Scouts
The Boy Scouts of
America seek to provide a program designed to: foster the desirable
qualities of moral strength and character, train in the responsibilities of
participating in citizen ship, and develop physical, mental, and emotional
fitness. Boys may become Cub Scouts upon entrance into the first

Generations of Faith
Ss. Cosmas and Damian is one of the many
parishes in the diocese to begin this life long, whole church approach to
faith formation.
Imagine an entire parish — all ages and generations —
involved in faith formation…
The Generations of Faith Vision is event-centered,
life-long, intergenerational faith formation. The Generations of Faith
approach is built upon the solid foundations of the Church’s catechetical
teachings over the past forty years and seeks to give expression to these
teachings in a distinctive approach to faith formation.

Golf
League
The Golf League was
formed to promote community and fellowship within the Parish and is open to
men and women, age 18 and over. We welcome players of all abilities to
join and have some fun on Friday evenings at 5:15 P.M. at Gleneagles Golf

Name Society
The
Holy Name Society is an organization for men of the parish who are 18 and
over. It consists of social and spiritual, as well as service
activities. Meetings are the fourth Wednesday of every month from

Knights
of Columbus
The Knights of
Columbus was founded by Father McGiveny in 1882 as an organization to assist
Catholic families and also to promote ties of fraternity and unity among
them. Our local Council consists of and serves parishioners from SS.
Cosmas & Damian and Our
Lady of Guadalupe Parishes. Meetings are held every Tuesday evening
during the school year in Twinhaven. All Catholic men age 18 and over

Planning Committee
Members of this

Pre - Cana / Marriage Ministry
Our ministry is to promote strong and vibrant marriages
as the foundation of a Christian community. Led by married couples
ministering to those planning marriage in the near future. Pre-Cana
team formation begins in January with meetings held on Friday evenings from
7:00 - 9:00 pm. Throughout the year the marriage ministry meets monthly for
social activities which support Newly Married couples and create Marriage
Enrichment experiences. We also provide a marriage enrichment evening
in the Fall for married couples. For more

Men's
Fellowship
We meet in the Adoration Chapel
each Tuesday night from 7:30 to 9:00. We say the rosary from 7:00pm -
7:25pm, if anyone is interested before the meeting. Come for a night of
prayer and praise, the sharing of scripture, using the Word Among Us
devotional and fellowship as a community of Catholic Men who want to

Ministry
of Lector and Commentator
The
Ministry of Lector and Commentator is a means by which the baptized
properly express their Baptismal obligation of proclaiming the Word of
God. Required time commitment is preparation for and participation
at assigned Masses. Any Confirmed Catholic, interested in vocally
proclaiming God's Word through this ministry, is asked to call Fr. Singler

of Music
Children's
Choir:
The children of the parish praise God in song every other week at one of the
scheduled weekend masses, throughout the year. All children, age 7 or
older, may join the choir by attending a weekly hour-long choir practice.
Meets every Tuesday evening (during the school year) at

Cantors: Volunteer Cantors
are our leaders of song in celebration at weekend Masses and special
seasonal and holiday celebrations. Cantors practice with the

The Small Group
Ensemble:
The Small Group Ensemble leads the assembly in worship every weekend at a
scheduled mass. Also on various other occasions and holidays
throughout the year. Meets on Thursdays from 6:00 - 7:30 pm in the

Musicians and
Instrumentalists:
Throughout the liturgical year, additional musicians and instrumentalists
are needed for seasonal and special celebrations and holidays. If
you are an accomplished musician or instrumentalist and desire to help

Ministry
of Server
The
Ministry of Server is one whereby the Celebrant's role of "leading
the community in prayer" is made far less complicated. This
role of service is fulfilled by youth of the parish who assist at the
regularly scheduled Masses. All youth of the parish, from fifth
grade and up, are encouraged to participate in this ministry; contact

Minister
of the Eucharist
The Extraordinary
Minister of the Eucharist assists in the distribution of the Eucharist in
Church, to the sick, and to shut-ins. The minister shows Christ's
love to humanity by serving the parish community. To be eligible for
this ministry one must be a mature Catholic, of excellent character, who
takes his faith seriously and lives a Christian life. For more

of Usher
Ushers assist in
welcoming parishioners, collecting the Sunday offering, directing the
faithful for an orderly reception of the Eucharist, greeting
parishioners after Mass, and distributing the Sunday Bulletin.

Parish
School of Religion: Elementary and Secondary
The primary right and
responsibility for the religious education and spiritual formation of
children is that of the parents (Council of Vatican II).
In addition to
parental instruction of their children in the faith, religious education
classes, for children in Grades 1-5, are held on Saturday mornings from
9:30-11:00 am.
Classes for Grades 6-12 are held on Monday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm. (Return)

Group
Members
of the parish gather informally on Sunday evenings to join together in

R.C.I.A.
The process by which
an individual becomes Catholic is known as the Rite of Christian Initiation of
Adults. Open to those with a desire to become Catholic or catechized
in the faith. Sponsors are also needed to stand and study with those inquiring
about the faith. RCIA process begins in early Fall through late
Spring, Pentecost Sunday. Contact Coordinator Deb Grgic (330-425-8141

St.
Vincent De Paul Society
The St. Vincent
De Paul Society assists the poor and needy of our community. They
help with emergency food, friendly visiting, and information about
governmental and agency services. Their work is made possible
through the charitable contributions of others. To make donations,
please contact our St. Vincent de Paul Society. To join the St.
Vincent De Paul Society simply attend one of their meetings, held on the
second and fourth Tuesday of each month. For more information,

Sunday
Pre-School/Kindergarten
Prepared religious instruction is available during the 11:00 Mass for four
and five year old children. Children learn about the special world God
made, the church family, and the meaning of Christmas, Baptism, and
Easter. Class is held September through May and pre-registration is

Vacation Bible School
Held annually the third week in June, Monday through Friday, 9:30 - 12:00
noon. Open to children age 4 to incoming fifth graders. Youth
and adult volunteers coordinate and run the program. The children
participate in a lesson, craft, snack, game and music each day as related to
the Biblical theme of the annual Program. Registration takes place in

Group
The purpose of
the Women's Group is to promote the spiritual and social welfare of the
women of the parish. They also enjoy servicing the needs of the
parish community. All women of the Parish are welcomed and invited

Y.A.S.C.O.
The
name of the group is Y.A.S.C.O., which stands for Young Adult Single
Catholic Organization. If you are single,
21 years or older and looking for a good Christian way to meet others,
attend a YASCO event. Meetings are throughout the month for
various activities. Their activities include spiritual, social and

Youth
Ministry
A vital part of the
Church, both present and future, is the youth. The Ss. Cosmas and
Damian Youth Organizations/CDYO coordinates the spiritual, service, and
social activities of the parish youth. All youth of the parish, in
thigh school, 9-12 grades, are encouraged to participate. On occasion,
the 6-7-8th Grade Junior High Youth join the High School youth for their
activities. Meets every Sunday evening during the school year. (Return)
