Church of SS. Cosmas and Damian St. Bartholomew Apostle

| History: Saint Bartholomew was
born at Cana. He was brought to Jesus by the apostle Philip. After the
ascension of the Lord, he is said to have preached the Gospel in India where
he was rewarded with the crown of martyrdom. His feast is celebrated
on August 24th. Prayer: Lord, sustain within us the faith which made Saint Bartholomew ever loyal to Christ. Let your Church be the sign of salvation for all the nations of the world. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
