| O God of boundless hope and everlasting love, in You we
live, and move and have our being. Welcome into the embrace of Your everlasting love and life all those victims of the violence that has come upon our land. We commend them to You. Watch over their families, co-workers, and friends. Let us all do nothing that will bring more hatred, anger, rage and death into Your world. In spite of these terrible tragedies, help all of us to rise up, do only Your will, and continue in prayer and action to build a better world – Your world: a kingdom of justice, love and peace.
